THREE
Today I spent the day with my best friend, which is definitely not a new thing, although we have had an international and interstate relationship for quite some time. The new part of the day was how we spent our time together. We rustled up clothes, hats, belts, bras and sunnies, and stalked around her property taking photos of each-other. It was pretty much the greatest way to spend the day.
The sun was warm, there was no breeze, we got the cask wine out at 4pm and the only thing we had to worry about was the dogs not looking into the camera when we asked them to, “please look here now”!
Lying in bed, falling asleep next to the person who I so easily share my life with no matter where we are, (Paris, Spain, Brisbane; who cares) I had a moment of pure and utter peace.
Yes we did something new, but we also did something age-old: existed together.
