Today I woke up feeling like my head and my heart and my limbs were all going in different directions.
It felt like my mind was so cloudy that I couldn’t wade through the cotton wool to find some truth.
I had no reason or rhyme.
I suppose there has to be times like this. Times where you tap your fingers on the keys and no words come out. Times where a cup of tea doesn’t help.
Where you wonder: perhaps I am MISTAKEN; perhaps I turned RIGHT instead of LEFT;
perhaps I am INVISIBLE.
Sometimes people lose their way and (metaphorically) build up casualties. If you happen to be in the way then you’ll probably get a bit banged up – and not in a good way.
Everyone gets a little bit lost.
Everyone, at some point, takes someone for granted.
Everyone has those days where you wake up feeling disconnected. Where you question your actions and desires.
Where you almost give up.
But don’t give up.
Instead, take a look at what surrounds you. And what surrounds ME are amazing, inspiring and caring people.
People who have the guts to take a risk and help those in need for no other reason then because they can.
People who are strong enough to plow through life even when others would pack it all up and move to the tropics.
People who give with all their heart and strive to bring life into the world.
People who listen and don’t judge.
People who surprise me with words of wisdom and acts of kindness.
People who inspire me to be better, try harder, aim higher, and have faith in myself and the world.
There are blessings hidden in every cotton-wool-for-brains day.
And when people come out of the haze and begin groggily finding their way back, be there with a smile and open arms.
Because no one deserves to be invisible.
PLEASE, OPEN YOUR EYES.
PEACE. X
