Sometimes life paces on without a second thought.
Other times there are mis-steps and bumps. Sometimes there are obstacles.
Often there are detours.
And sometimes, less commonly, life stops you in your tracks for a moment of stillness.
And it whispers things to you that you couldn't hear because you were too busy manoeuvring your path and getting fed up with the delays.
It whispers:
Breath.
Do more good. Speak your truth and speak it clearly. Do not be afraid of what may come to pass.
Be present. Be kind. Strive for greatness.
Give without expectation. Love without hesitation and be loved without question.
Do not give up. Stay calm. Have faith. Find joy. Be free.
And know that you are not alone.
The picture on my wall still urges me to be brave. And will continue to do so well after it is taken down and lost among a sea of papers. And I will continue to listen.
Truth. Kindness. Greatness. Love. Freedom. Gratitude.
These are the whispers that aren't always heard but always surround you.
It is never too late.
