february 12th - shine

shine v.i & t.,
emit or reflect light, be bright, glow, be brilliant or admirable in some respect or sphere

Music in the soul can be heard by the universe – Lao Tzu
There are many sayings that produce the same meaning as this gloriously beautiful and truthful quote.
The idea that your inner self, the very substance that drives your actions and the source of your intent can be experienced by your surroundings is a valuable lesson learned.
Because it is that which exposes our true nature to the world that in turn reflects back onto us. In the end it is our inner spirit that will shield our outer shell.
Sometimes it is hard to reflect the hope in your heart.
There may be obstacles in your day-to-day life that seep their way into your soul and cloud it (ever so slightly) with doubt, cynicism, dread.
You could find yourself clutching to keep your positivity from slipping through your fingers; the weight of deadlines, the pressure to prove oneself, the exhaustion experienced from hard work all adding up to a slow hardening of the heart and the sound of windows closing in your mind.

But it is at times like these when a belief in yourself, in your ability to do anything and everything you ever imagined, is paramount to your existence.
It is at times like these, when the sound of an alarm clock nearly breaks your heart, that the windows of your mind need to be swung open and the fresh air let in.
That the compliments & support & care from others need to be cherished and the things in life that make you smile be welcomed with open arms.

It is at time like these that the music in your soul needs to be that of peace and love, set firmly on repeat and turned to a comfortably high volume.

In each of us is the ability to sing a song of joy to the universe. And if we are able to put aside our doubt and sing that song loud and clear, the universe will reward us with the success we deserve.
Don’t drown your music. Let is swim crazy free in your soul.
And know in your bones that if hope fades and you suddenly feel like you’re sitting next to hopeless, waiting for the bus to nowhere, there will be a hand (either small but strong or large but gentle) delicately pushing you in the direction of everywhere, quietly reminding you that the struggle, the effort, the distance is worth it.
That you are worth it.
Let your soul produce the very best music and watch the universe applaud.

Sometimes life is what happens when all it takes is a slight nudge from a beautiful soul to make even the most anxious of creatures brave enough to leap.

PEACE X
